You May Go
May 20th, 2017 by Kimberly
When I go up to visit my aunt and uncle, they occasionally talk me into joining them for pilates class, which is where I found this piece of wisdom-on-white-board.
Adulthood is a weird place. We try so hard to develop close, loving relationships only to find out that sometimes we can love people best from far away. Not everyone in this life makes a great fit for us. With some folks, we can do the most good by putting ourselves far enough away to do the least damage, or have the least damage done to us.
Some people that used to feature in my life no longer have a role. Occasionally it’s my choice, more often it’s theirs, and every once in a great while it’s completely mutual. Each time it brings a fresh wave of guilt that I’ve done something wrong or haven’t tried hard enough. At the end of the day, though, I still come to the same conclusion: sometimes the healthiest exercise is walking away.
When your peace of mind is at stake, you don’t even have to give twenty-four hours’ notice.
All Kimberly is saying is give peace of mind a chance.
Where do you get all this wisdom on a daily basis. I can hardly stand it!! I’m going to have to up my conversation next weekend when you are here!!
No worries, I channel my greatest pieces of wisdom from you!
Emergency cut-off are sometimes required 🙂
